How did "Transcendence" the new Johnny Depp sci-fi thriller go from sure-thing blockbuster to limping into a fourth-place $11 million debut? In a space pod; not enough brainless stuff like things crashing and blowing up every 2 minutes. The average film goer is around 28 and has the attention span of a fruit fly, so having an intelligent script and a plot you have to follow is most definitely a big disadvantage.
