A GLASS HOUSE IN BUDAPEST...

In 1986, a 78-year-old man named Moshe Kraus died in Jerusalem. He was never commemorated in any way nor is he mentioned in any Holocaust encyclopedias. But Moshe Kraus is responsible for the largest rescue operation ever undertaken during the Holocaust. At a very conservative estimate, historians put the figure at 40,000 men,women and children. The story of the Glass House is one of the most fascinating historical events of that era; and much like the man behind the operation, this event has somehow evaded public attention and never received the recognition it deserved.
