Unprincipled Flip-Flopper or Serial Liar?
At his recent confirmation hearings, Hagel reversed himself on nearly every past position he had so staunchly held. On nuclear weapons, gays, Israel...oh and Dunkin' Doughnuts. This current Hagel position is diametrically opposed to positions that Hagel had previously held and committed himself to in past articles.Though the hearings portrayed Hagel as a man who appeared to be dimwitted and buffoonish, Hagel is no buffoon. He is a man who chooses his words carefully. Hagel’s recent plethora of recantations suggests a man weak in principle, ethics and morals. Alternatively, they are indicative of a nefarious, serial liar willing to say or do anything to attain his political or personal objective.

The skeletal remains of King Richard 111, who died in the Battle of Bosworth in 1485 but had been missing ever since, were uncovered last September in the remains of Grey Friars Church, Leicester, England. A social services car par had been built on the spot. DNA tests showed a direct match with two distant relatives of the monarch, while studies of the skeleton showed 10 battle-related injuries and also King Richard’s famous curved spine. Historical texts put him laid to rest in the church and that the skeleton’s height and adjudged age at death matched. Leicester University said it was beyond any reasonable doubt that the skeleton was that of the last Plantagenet king.

SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.

Since the debate began over the nomination of Chuck Hagel to be Secretary of Defense there has been near silence from the largest section of the U.S. Jewish community. Why? Because 70% voted for Obama, are dyed-in the-wool Democrats who would never put themselves in direct opposition to their president. If he nominated a stale bagel they'd think it just fine. But even before Mr Obama, the American liberal Jewish community were fast becoming the 11th Lost Tribe of Israel. The irony is, that in a recent non partisan Pew Research Center report, there are now more real and steadfast supports of Israel (whatever the government there) among a large cross section of both religious and non religious sections of American society than ever before.
