MESSAGE TO IRAN...

For the first time in history, the Simon Wiesenthal Center's Academy Award-winning Holocaust documentary has been broadcast to Iran with Farsi subtitles. "Genocide," a Holocaust film that won the best documentary feature Oscar in 1982, aired on Iran"s NTV Simay Azadi on Friday, as well as on satellite broadcasts and streaming online. The film is narrated by Elizabeth Taylor and Orson Welles, and was aired in an effort to combat the rampant Holocaust denial emanating from the Iranian regime.

Cows fed flaxseed produce more nutritious dairy products. In fact, according to a recent study, dairy cows fed up to seven percent of their daily diet in flaxseed – about six pounds – produced milk with lower amounts of saturated fat and higher concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids. Which is great! Yes...but do they fart less, more or louder? No results as yet, but I'll keep you posted.

A chap named Alfonseca explained to Phys.org. this easy-peasy thingy:"If there is an infinite number of possible histories, the fact that there is a given history (or a finite number) leading to life does not make that history probable: its probability would be 1 divided by infinity, which is zero,"

The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize nominee Jim Garrow has allegedly claimed that he was told by a top military veteran that the Obama administration’s “litmus test” for new military leaders is whether or not they will obey to give an order to those under their command, to fire on U.S. citizens in the event of citizens refusing to comply in handing over outlawed firearms. True? Who knows, but somehow when George Washington thought it prudent at the time for ordinary citizens to own firearms, the best shots could only manage 3 rounds a minute given the technology. Today's fire power could not have been envisaged by G.W. or anyone else. Though guns are ubiquitous in Israel, where most 18-year-olds are drafted into the army after high school, however, once those soldiers finish their service two or three years later, they are subject to strict civilian gun control regulations (in 2010 there were 158 deaths attributed to firearms). If Israel - who is in a constant state of war readiness - can control who owns weapons, shouldn't the U.S. get some perspective on what the founding fathers would have considered reasonable firearm possession?

GLOBAL WARMING THEORY PUT ON ICE!

Exactly what caused the big thaw 11,000 years ago? The conventional wisdom is that carbon dioxide increased in the atmosphere starting about 19,000 years ago and then the ice began to melt which continues to the present day. But the Antarctic was getting warmer even before CO2 levels went up! The simpleton's who follow Global Warming According To Al Gore should open their minds a wee bitty. According to new research published in "Nature" what actually happened was this. About 20,000 years ago, the Earth — the whole planet — wobbled on its axis. This happens periodically, but this time, the wobble caused a lot more summer sunlight to hit the northern hemisphere. Gigantic ice sheets in the Arctic and Greenland began melting and are still doing so. All this and not a factory or motor car in sight! So you see folks: it's all a tad more complex this global warming followed by another Ice Age - sometimes lasting up to 100,000 years - than the bollocks spouted by the bewildered or politically motivated.
