De Niro’s visit to Israel itself was sort of surprising; his comments at the Presidential Conference in Jerusalem on Wednesday were exactly what you’d think the actor known for his tough-guy roles in films like “Taxi Driver” and “The Godfather Part II” would say.
“I always enjoy coming to Israel. Israelis are warm, they’re energetic people. Forthright. Very smart. I always like smart people. They’re nice people, you know. Aggressive, and I respect that aggressiveness because you need it in their situation,” De Niro said. (Times of Israel)

INDIA AND ISRAEL TOGETHER TOWARDS 5G!

India and Israel have agreed to work jointly on development of fifth generation (5G) telecom technologies, sources said. The matter was discussed during the visit of Indian telecom and IT minister Kapil Sibal to Israel last month, they said. Sibal and his Israeli counterpart Gilad Erdan agreed that both countries can cooperate on exploring the possibilities of standard formulation, development and manufacturing in the area of 4G and 5G telecom technologies.
