Palestinian Newspaper Admits: Israel Helps Palestinians!

Palestinian daily Al Hayat Al Jadida reported, “PA Minister of Health, Hani Abdeen visited the Israeli Hadassah Hospital. Minister Abdeen who was accompanied by a delegation that included senior officials of the ministry and of the PA, met with the Director of Ein Karem Hadassah Hospital, Yuval Weiss. He [the minister] visited Palestinian patients being treated in the hospital, and he distributed gifts.”
Al Hayat Al Jadida continued, “Hospital director Weiss said: ‘We relate to patients without regard to nationality and religion. We treat Muslims, Christians, Jews, and other nationalities without bias, and 30% of the patients who are children are Palestinians.‘ He went on to say: ‘We’ve begun cooperating with the Palestinians. We now train teams of physicians from the hospital in Beit Jala in the southern West Bank, to treat cancer among children. We have about 60 Palestinian medical interns and specialist physicians who will be returning to the Palestinian Authority areas to carry out their work.”

According to promotional material, a United States Naval Academy professor is teaching on behalf of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), a part of the US Muslim Brotherhood and where global Brotherhood leader Youssef Qaradawi reportedly serves as a trustee. One of the other instructors at the IIIT summer program will be US Muslim Brotherhood leader Louay Safi, identified in the announcement as affiliated with the College of Islamic Studies of the Qatar Foundation. In 2009 Louay Safi, also an official at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), was at the center of a controversy when it was learned that the US Defense Department brought him to Fort Hood as an instructor and that he had been lecturing on Islam to troops in Fort Hood. More than 1,000 Muslims who fled Myanmar’s latest bout of sectarian violence were given sanctuary in a Buddhist monastery guarded by army soldiers. In Lashio on Thursday, Buddhist monks organized meals for the newly arrived refugees, who huddled together in several buildings in the monastery compound.

The Argentine State Prosecutor has accused Iran of establishing terrorist networks in Latin America dating back to the 1980s and said he would send his findings to courts in the affected countries. The Prosecutor presented a 500-page document, with evidence of Iran’s operation of an “intelligence and terrorist network” in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname. Regarding the bombing of the AMIA (Asociacion Mutual Israelita Argentina) center in Buenos Aires,  in which 85 people were killed. The U.S. topped the 2013 world competitiveness ranking of 60 economies, followed by Switzerland and China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, according to the IMD business school in Switzerland. The U.S. regained the top spot this year after having ranked the second in 2012 due to a rebounding financial sector, an abundance of technological innovation and successful companies, IMD business school said on Thursday in an annual report.

SURPLUS WATER IN ISRAEL?

Drawn from deep in the Mediterranean Sea, the water has flowed through pipelines reaching almost 4,000 feet off of Israel’s coast and, once in Israeli soil, buried almost 50 feet underground. Now, it rushes down a tube sending it through a series of filters and purifiers. After 90 minutes, it will be ready to run through the taps of Tel Aviv. Set to begin operating as soon as next month, Israel Desalination Enterprises’ Sorek Desalination Plant will provide up nearly 7 million gallons of water every hour. When it’s at full capacity, it will be the largest desalination plant of its kind in the world. As plants expand across Israel in 2014, they will produce up to 80 percent of Israel’s potable water.
