GLOBAL WARMING? BEEN THERE BEFORE!

Ancient Pool Of Warm Water Questions Current Climate Models!

Present in the Pliocene era, this giant mass of water would have dramatically altered rainfall in the tropics, possibly even removing the monsoon. Its decay and the consequential drying of East Africa may have been a factor in Hominid evolution. When analysing all the available sea surface temperature records spanning the past 5 million years, the international team – with academics from UCL and Yale – found that none of the currently proposed mechanisms can account for such conditions in the Pliocene, when tested using a climate model. The Pliocene was the last time the world was in a steady climate that was much warmer than today, and with a carbon dioxide level higher than the conditions that existed before the Industrial Revolution. CHINESE BLOCK BUSTER!

Tel Aviv
A well-known Chinese production company is set to shoot scenes in Israel this month for a Chinese epic called “Old Cinderella,” which is expected to be a blockbuster movie thanks to stars such as Zhang Jingchu (“Rush Hour 3”) and director Lu Chuan. The production team chose Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Jerusalem and the Dead Sea as their locations. The Tourism Ministry offices in China are working in cooperation with the production company to promote tourism to Israel, including a competition whose first prize is a vacation in Israel. Other marketing activities in March and April include campaigns on Weibo, China’s most popular social website as well as hosting journalists from leading Chinese media in Israel. UN AGENCY SAYS IRAN "PROBABLY BUILDING ATOMIC WEAPON".

So...Iran appears to be working on an atomic weapon of mass destruction. The bluntest pencil in the box, Yukiya Amano with his well off-side UN agency says there are "indicators" of Iran secretly continuing to work on nuclear weapons both "in the past, and now."  No figgin' kiddin'! A dead parrot would have come to this conclusion before it was born, Mr Amano. The Islamo-fascist Iranian regime - whose fav holiday destination is a wander around the nuke plant in North Korea - will only be stopped by force, you dumbos; not by sanctions on shipments of Cadbury cream eggs.

EAT FISH, LIVE LONGER?

Regularly eating fish, which are high in omega-3 fatty acids, can reduce your chances of developing a number of conditions — and help you feel better while you do it. So says Amir Khan, Everday Health staff writer. BUT...what she fails to say is this. The bigger the fish the more mercury it will probably have in it's body! Mercury: think plutonium and your not too far off. As tuna are huge fish it's much better to eat the likes of sardines. (Photo: Copyright Control)

AIRLINE SEATS: PAY-BY-WEIGHT!

Samoa Air is pricing its first international flights based on the WEIGHTof its passengers and their bags. Depending on the flight, each kilogram (2.2 pounds) costs 93 cents to $1.06. The airline's chief executive, Chris Langton, said on Tuesday that "planes are run by weight and not by seat, and travelers should be educated on this important issue. The plane can only carry a certain amount of weight and that weight needs to be paid. There is no other way."
As I'm a 149 pounder, do I get a discount? Other airlines are thinking about doing the same...so now you really have an added incentive to get some of your lard off!
